Whole Grains & Bread Making |
|
There's still time to sign up
for the class this Saturday.
Our very own Richard
Blackburn will be teaching this class hosted by
the CSU Cooperative Extension Services on bread making
with whole grains. Learn about the nutritional
value of whole grains, see different grinding methods,
and watch how easy it is to make wonderful homemade
bread.
Have you been curious about
some of the lesser known grains? Visual samples
and information will be available to describe their
various qualities.

March has
been a very full month with lots of things going
on. I'm amazed that we filled the truck for the
Walton Feed order in just one week! This brief
mid-month update is aimed at answering some of the
questions that have come up. As always,
please feel free to contact me if I can be of help.

too many unknown costs for delivery day to change
it. If we can drop the rate, a refund will be
given on delivery day.
-Payment is due by March
31st.
-You may pay online or by
check as long as it is received by March
31st.
-Unpaid orders will be
dropped as there is a waiting list of folks who still
want to order.

volunteering on delivery day - see below.

Join the A Team!
|
The Walton Feed delivery is scheduled
for May 13th. We need about 40 volunteers (minimum
age 15) to help unload, inventory and fill orders.
It is a great way to get to know other PPN members and
get a look at the Walton products. Plus, it's lots
of fun! Plan on arriving at 7a.m. and leaving
mid-afternoon. Come out and catch the delivery day
bug; just ask any of our regulars. We are
currently looking at several indoor locations, details
to follow. Lunch, drinks and snacks will be
provided. If you are interesting in picking up our
leftover pallets, please let us know. They can be used
for firewood, storage platforms, etc. First to
reply gets them.
